[bodytext] => I find it ironic that the person who is supposed to be your best friend,
Above all others, Is the one person that will stab you in the back, Never fails. I find it ironic that the one place we feel Is safe, secure, Is the one place that all the trouble, and heart ache, Eventually will occur. I find it ironic that the people who are supposed to support you, Catch you when you fall, Let you go, and the people that normally let you down, Catch you. I find it ironic that best friends become enemies, And enemies become friends, And if we can all do that on a personal level, Why is it so hard for countries to do the same? I find it ironic that I speak to a world full of deaf ears in my town, That no matter what I say, I am wrong, And they are right, but they won't tell me why, And though they critize me, they won't make a stand of their own. I find it ironic that such things happen in a country Where, because of our own individualities and uniqueness, We should blend together, but instead our prejudices, And our prides tear us further and further apart. I find it ironic that I should even have to speak out, For the hungry and the homeless, the abused and the neglected, Because the cry itself should be so loud that it deafens Those who refuse to stand. But in the end, no matter what irony enfolds the world, It is the few that would stand that do make a difference, And, ironically, against all odds, Somehow make a difference in the world.
