Sitting on a ledge
One day, contemplating life
And stepping off the edge
I noticed baby guppies
Swimming ‘round and ‘round
Being chased by bigger fish
And a thought struck, so profound

My life is filled with chasing kids
They are never in one place
They only laugh and seem to thrive
On the joy of the chase
And just before the point when
Their little necks were rung
It suddenly occurred to me
I know why guppies eat their young

I understand. I would not want to eat mine either, at least not without a LOT of catsup, and I do not even like the stuff. Could you just imagine, though if you were a fish and had to chase dozens, if not hundreds of kids around all day? I would be living in that little castle in the bottom of the tank, with all the doors and windows locked. LOL

I didn't ever want to eat mine, but I sure did want to pinch their little heads off their shoulders a few times. They survived and so did I and eventually they grew up and left, lol. So now we are the best of friends. Now, the grandchildren can do anything and it doesn't bother me. Do you find that strange?????

Nope, do not find it strange at all. I am good friends with my girls. Of course, they are out of the house. I still struggle with the boys. Only six more years.
