Losing

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Each moment spent in the world is a moment spent away from you

My longing desire
All that I admire
My simple blue eyes
The gaze that belies
My heart’s strongest passion
All that I can’t ration

I am losing you with each conversation

Laughing at a tease
Flirting with rookies
Dancing and happiness
Causing me to forget
Sex with another man
It’s more than I can stand

Please darling just say it, I know you can

Whisper it at night
While you hold me tight
Shout it out in passion
Do it in any fashion
Say it loud or say it soft
I don’t care enough is enough

I can take it no longer, my craving is gone

I can sleep somehow
Without you now
I’m not near the phone
Neither am I ever alone
It’s not the love that’s gone
It’s the higher being to which I was drawn

You have to take me back; you have to admit your love

I’m stuck
Out of luck
Can’t stay any longer
Wishing to god I was stronger
Wanting my want back
To have my whole world out of whack

I really miss that feeling but, I know you to well now. The mystery is gone
The only thing that can protect us
Our option, our aegis
It’s a commitment my dear
But you’re so scared I can smell your fear
I wish you’d just say it
Before I leave and you regret it

Darling I’m scared because I love you too but I need security with it
Please if I leave I’m sure I’ll distress, feel regret and wonder always wonder
You’re my best friend
My confidant
And damn good in bed
Can’t we just be together?
Or must I continue feeling ill at ease about this whole thing???
