Tonight wrapped up in a sea of depression
I found you, trying to release myself of these drowning thoughts
Killing me slowly, softly, tenderly
A thousand tears I cried
Unheard, unseen, unknown
A chapter of my life is now closed, and with it I die a little more
Wrapped up in a sea of leaches, I sit and count the days
Until the marks of sadness are forever washed away….

wow, scary poem. I like the gothic undertones in some places in some places, and the metaphors and similies in this poem are so well done, I could never think of any as good as these ones. Try to find help for depression, eventually it consumes you, and you get more depressed because you forget what you were depressed about to start of with.

There's always time to grieve when we have to change stages in our lives... just remember that when one chapter ends, another begins... and if its at the end of the book, just pick up another and start from the beginning!!! :) I wish you the best of luck in your time of grief, and I hope that you'll make it through ok. Thanks for sharing this wonderful write with us...

Dark, very dark but still very intriguing and beautiful in a tragic way. I don't deal well with changes either but yeah, what're you gonna do? Great write anyway.

You expressed your inner thoughts well in this poem. May you find inner happiness, you deserve it. Kie
