and wonder who gives a heck
i change the station and go about day
to come home and find you were in the wreck today
I scream in fear and rush to the hospital where you lay
and wonder why and what was on its way
I sit in silence to hear the news
Wondering and pondering what theyve done to you
I stay calm to the eyes but inside i am wondering and screaming why
Why i have yet to here your dreadful fate
And no one could imagine all the hate
the news i hear and your not near
his car hit yours he couldnt steer
I cant see how he could have missed you
your gods greatest gift to me
anyone we knew could see
and as he walks towards me his head held low
at that moment i knew and we all know
that you were gone, lost, and for no reason
and at the end of your senior season
i cant believe he drank and drove
he cant imagine all the hate and sorrow
you were mine you promised me
i have the ring to prove it, "see"
your cascet is shut i cant see your face
as i cry and scream with hate "God save me with your amazing grace"
You were mine to love and hold
no graduation and no wedding, no life to mold
not even a goodbye, not even a last glance
and you never even had a chance
no chance to live your life and grow old
no chance to have me to forever hold
gone to the heavens you descend
all my love and soul i pray and send
i cannot bare this path alone,
id rather he take my life,id give my own
i hurt burn and ache inside and with no explanation why
i look to the heavens into the sky
and above your grave i take my life
on the ground me and my sorrows lie
never more to grieve or cry
and never more to wonder why [comments] => 3 [counter] => 240 [topic] => 39 [informant] => carrielynn [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

What a tragic poem! But it depicts a very occuring thing. The 'Don't drink and drive' banner flashes out of this poem! Awesome write! Hope it's not the truth!
