Array ( [sid] => 41221 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Struggle for Normality [time] => 2004-03-31 22:51:00 [hometext] => This one is just a collage of a million different emotions I experience everyday...please tell me what you think.... [bodytext] => I am not articulate, nor do I know just what to say
I feel like I am always searching, trying to find my own way.
Too bad my life’s cut short, I would’ve liked more time to think.
I always seem to be waiting and turning the other cheek.
Why can’t I be certain? Not some wishy-washy girl.
I try to giggle, and only snort…I am so lost in this world.
I'm another of the thousands with thoughts on their minds.
I'm another girl who worries too much about the fate of all mankind.
Trying too hard to search for my soul that society tossed aside.
My generic rhymes are swallowed up faster than the tide.
So sorry, just trying to be different, but instead I’m more of the same.
I keep hoping that someday, someone, will know me by my name.
Look at me, I’m special, see? My feelings are worthwhile.
Laughed and scorned by others who chisel on my smile.
Why? What’s the point? So that they can’t feel the pain?
Well, this uprising revolt is more than a little fall of rain.

Keep struggling, but don't worry so much about what others think. First you have to learn to like yourself and be comfortable within then others will begin to notice the calmness and react with the same. This is a great write. I used to feel like this when I was young. I think all young people do until they learn to be comfortable in their own hearts and minds.

Rainbows,
Rita

be you. you can't be anyone other than who you are. don't waste your time trying to figure out who you are either. just try to understand that everything you do...every feeling you have..every emotion that comes along is a part of you. if you soul search for too long you'll become lost..because you're looking for an undetermined definition of yourself. people change too much to ever define who they are. so be yourself and just accept who that person is, regardless of if people accept you or not..as long as you do then no one else really matters.
