This is so that sleepy heads know that day's begun.
Suppose one day I failed to act and didn't throw the switch,
You would have a darkened world now wouldn't that be rich?

Then I go and turn the tap that let's the water in,
So that when you go to wash, it's water and not gin,
Suppose one day I failed to twist, no water in the bowl,
You might pound pipes all day long, now, wouldn't that be droll?

It's now the time for me to grow the grapes upon the vine,
So the vintners in the land can make sweet claret wine,
Suppose I lost the recipe to make the grapes to grow,
You could prune the vines all day, now, wouldn't that be low?

The point I'd like to make to you is that I can't do by fall,
Things by many hundreds that I cannot do at all.
Folks like to think in grandiose but I will tell you this,
There's not a thing that you can do that someone else won't miss.

You add it up and what you have, we're much like one another,
You and I, we could be twins, you're much like my big brother,
He's good at this, he's good at that, I'm sure that you are stronger,
The slow guy, he'll learn everything, just takes a little longer. But then of course you know atleast I hope you know? There are exceptions to every rule. Take me for instance will you please. I don't turn on the sun, nor spicket for water to run.......but you should see me herd the dogs.....I have six, and without me there would probably be......12! they are all female!
So even I have a purpose in my life.......I read your poems and that relieves my strife
Great poem norm
