I felt a stirring of a restless heart in strife
The wind was dying against the day
I knew that something was coming.
I heard the whispered warnings but
I knew not where to look
That hesitation cost us all
the pleasant dreams we possessed
And so it is we drown in our lowly regrets...
Ezra, I felt it as you fell to your temptation
Ezra, everything fell apart with one taste of that sugar
Ezra, I cried as you succumbed to your temptation
Ezra, don't you know the angels wept as your spirit died?
If only you would still believe
that there are people who have alwaya loved you
People who would die for you to come home
If only you could still believe
We are all worth far more than we suppose
You are loved...you are loved...and that matters
Come home. [comments] => 8 [counter] => 211 [topic] => 66 [informant] => Avarice_Riot [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => drugabuse )

Interesting write. I love the line about us all being worth more than we suppose---such a truth that so few see.

There is a wonderful message behind this poem. I loved the way you expressed it so well. And I especially liked the part where you say that we are worth much more than we care to believe. Amazing write.

You have definately portrayed the message in this write in my eyes. Such a sad write. You have painted a big picture with this. Such a loss. *S* Cynthia
