Like the sky is going to fall and crush your head because it doesn't like you?
Do you know what it's like to walk your life in grief and sorrow?
All because you made a few mistakes that you can never take back?
Do you know what it's like to avoid everyone you love and trust?
To need their support and company, but not want them to know you cry?
Do you ever wake up crying at night without knowing exactly why?
Do you think about what it might be like to start all over again?

I've been living the past few months in anguish and disbelief
Over the guilt I assume about the way I have lived life so far
And though the garden has begun to green and bloom again
It will never be like it was before I carelessly burned it down
Mother said never live with regrets, she said live and learn
But it's not that easy to let go of the things I could have done better
I can continue living this life, trying to repair these gaping holes
But I fear nothing I do will ever be enough to gain my happiness back. Actually..yes..I know exactly what it's like. And it really is that easy to let it go. Forgive yourself for whatever it is you did...and let it go..its' that simple. Sounds so hard. But I forgave myself for something I did a long time ago...cried for hours and hours..and it all released it's pressure....I still think about it..wonder about it..but it doesn't hurt anymore. So cheer up :)

Adreana~I don't know where you are at with God....let me just say that I do know what it is like to feel that way. I know what it is like to make mistakes that seem to ruin your entire life. I know what it is like to hold on to guilt that eats away at you. I also know that Jesus died for me an you so that we don't have to live with that guilt. He took the punishment for all..not some, but all your sins. So if Jesus is your Lord and Savior your sins are forgiven and forgotten. Happiness is a fleeting emotion, it comes and goes. Jesus offers more than happiness. He offers Joy. The holes may never be repaired, but the Joy of the Lord can fill you even when the holes are gaping. We all can always have done better. Not one of us is perfect, we all fall short. And letting go of the past is hard too. I have a hard time letting go of the hurt and abuse of my past. Slowly God is showing me how to lay it at His feet. He will take it.

This is lengthy, but I felt the Lord lay it upon my heart to share this with you. If you are in Christ you are forgiven...accept that forgiveness, thank God for that forgivness and rejoice in your salvation.
Things will get better, be assured of that.

Yes, I do. Just recently I was downright miserable. I still haven't learned how to make myself happy without the help of other people, so all I can tell you is, let the people in your life be there for you. I know what it's like to feel the need to turn away from the people that deep inside you want to be there, to have to hide the way you're feeling from them, but I guarantee, if you let them, they'll help. Even just by being there with you. It helps. Trust me, I know. And things will get better, they always do. I know that's said an awful lot, and I known it's annoying to hear all the time, but it is true. Just have faith in the future.
