add background music
to when you hoped against hope
hoped for a splinter of salvation
prayed to wake up
prayed for a plane crash

INteresting use of imagery here. I like the way you used a cinematic analogy in parts. I thought I was reading a plane crash, but no - I was mistaken . . .
