The cemetery gates tarnished with chipping paint
Her veil of aging gray drags along the cold ground
Howling wind rushes through the watching trees
Her spirit walks among the thriving living

A damaged tombstone stands untouched
One single soul wept for this tragic bride,
Leaving a single, crinkled rose
Astonished she was, inside her spirit soared
She would weep, but no tears would fall

Who was she? This ghostly woman,
I could tell you,
Her name was Cecile, a lovely woman she was
Cecile's angelic grace matched no others
Her tragic death shattered my very life

I heart, Cecile's haunting song
So sweet, like a charming nightingale
I stand at the old gate,
Watching your gray elegance come to me
I want to reach out and touch your fair hand
But it's so far away...

Cecile my love,
It was only a dream, in which I saw you
You appear in my dreams,
So lively, so pale
I long for you dearly, Cecile my love [comments] => 1 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 39 [informant] => Crimson_Rose [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

I thought this was incredibly written. Beautiful and elegant, although sad it was just perfection to read.... Kie
