Array ( [sid] => 40803 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A Step Into Eternity [time] => 2004-03-29 13:42:10 [hometext] => This is dedicated to the memory of Glen *Red* and Helen Sayler... they were a couple who were both friend and neighbor to me... they died just a day apart... They will be missed!!! [bodytext] => It's not what we take with us
When we leave this world
Or what we leave behind that's important
It's all about the way we've lived our lives...

For some the journey of life is borne alone
But for others their lives are entwined to walk as one
Arm in arm strolling along through life
They keep their eyes
Firmly fixed on God's eternal prize
As they walk this earth together
Never one without the other

They take their vows to heart
'Til death do us part
They love each other straight from the heart
Live all their hopes and dreams as one
Even in death, it is no different...

They walk from this life into the next
Arm in arm, hand in hand
They walk as they always have
Always together never alone
As they take that final step...
It will be a step towards home...
A step into the great beyond...
A step into the great unknown...
A step... into eternity

Now their journey is complete
They're strolling along Heaven's Golden Streets
Arm in arm, hand in hand
They're walking as they always have
Always together, never alone

But for those left behind
They weep...
'Cause their journeys have just begun in their own minds
It's a journey of a lifetime
One that they must bear alone
Now that their loved ones have passed on

As we journey through this life
Back to our eternal home
One day we'll all take that final step...
That step towards home...
That step into the great beyond...
A step into the great unknown....

It will be a step... into eternity
