Then goes to scratch her head
Oh no!! We've not got visitors again
I thought that they were dead

Those necky little bleeders
They cling to my baby's hair
Tried lotions and potions
Conditioners, the lot
But they just don't seem to care

It's clean hair that they go for
So she'll not wash hers for a while
Thing is hers is nearly down to her bum
It could end up smelling vile

I bet they sit there thinking
"She thinks she's got rid of us
Let's catch her when she's not looking
And watch her making a fuss"

"Make sure you hold on tightly
She's clever this one you know
She even soaked us in vinegar once
She really wants us to go"

What happened to the nit nurse?
Head down, quick look and you're done
I sit here looking for solutions
Scratch my head if you'll pardon the pun

So once again out comes the nit comb
I painstakingly comb each strand
If you know of anything else that works
Would you kindly let me know the brand?

It's nothing to be ashamed of
Most school children are hit
But why do they insist on returning
Our unwelcome visitors..................

An excellent rhyme here, told with sheer wit and motherly wisdom.
Loved it.
Great job.
