Another Side

Contributed by Soulless on Friday, 26th March 2004 @ 10:00:42 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I look in the mirror and see a face
I know this face is not my own
Hiding along borders of a darkened place
Where Reflections are the only world shown

Every night I almost convince myself
A hidden world luks the other side
Wondering eyes betray me
Staring through me
Seeing blindly
The lifeless remedy that I see

Dawn has found the sun again
The other world fades away
Maybe day will lose its way again
And they will come and play

My fingertips dance across the face reflected
Walls that stand between melt away
Deep down I believe to have seen the truth
I have fallen on the other side
Answers form where questions break away

Tonight I almost convinced myself
I have been lost on the other side
My wondering eyes betray me
Staring through me
Seeing blindly
The lifeless remedies that I see
Then I see

Faces play along the other side
My reflections drown in a pool of misery
Lost eyes stare back into me
I realize these eyes were never mine

Every night I almost convince myself
A hidden world luks the other side
Wondering eyes betray me
Staring through me
Seeing blindly
The lifeless remedy that I see
Now I see

This is fascinating. I like the idea of the mirror and the dawn finding the sun again. Intriguing stuff.
