Reflections

How often our great memories
Are not exact images of our life
But sometimes blurred and distorted
By such things as regret and strife

How often our minds
In order to relive a thrill
Allow hearts to rewrite memories
Conforming them to our will

And so we view them
Thru reflections of time
Replayed thru todays needs
To their rhythm and rhyme

And tho they are altered
Whether in depth or scope
Are they not still our memories
With reflections of hope?

Reflections

How often our great memories
Are not exact images of our life
But sometimes blurred and distorted
By such things as regret and strife

How often our minds
In order to relive a thrill
Allow hearts to rewrite memories
Conforming them to our will

And so we view them
Thru reflections of time

What an excellent message, Russ. Yes, our memories are ours to do what we will with. Sometimes it is easier to distort them to make them manageable.

A wonderful verse , the reality of life wrote in an easy to understand depth of memories.
