but your smile was so deceiving!"
That touch you placed upon my cheek,
now you say, I cannot keep?

Was i just a simple fool, thinking this was real?
love I thought you gave, I didn't mean to steal.
Words...to some are easy, so it was with you,
until today, you gave me not a clue.

Standing here, I watch...as you walk away,
I will try to remember, to forget this day.
I feel a splash of wetness, no...it isn't rain,
only eyes overflowing, from my hearts pain.

Do not look behind you, go steadily on your way,
there is nothing left to see, nothing left to say.
I will stand awhile, wondering how this all began,
then I'll walk away...and begin, all over again. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Justalady [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

this is written from your heart so beautifully, same happened to me not too long agao, how people can just walk away after sweet words and supposed love is beyond me, you will find someone far better, that one did not deserve you, hugs n' love nessa

"I will try to remember, to forget this day."

Isn't easy though, is it? For me it has been impossible. The heart may mend, but where do you put the memories for they never leave.

Rainbows,
Rita

I know the pain of your words, I live them everyday, a tortured soul a broken heart, the thought of another in replacement. All I had was memories, and they were tainted and stolen away. We keep on going though, always in hope. Thank you for sharing.
