Lifepoems

The coals under my feet, melt and dissolve
into my flesh to fuel the fire that burns
inside, burns of anger and betrayal and
I am no longer human, I have become
a lonely monster stuck in this
cage of skin, muscle and bone; with
no place to go, I entertain this new
carnal urge of violence by damaging this beautiful
bag of flesh.

I've cut on many occasions...this poem strikes a chord with me that only another cutter could understand. I've tried to convey this message, but never quite captured it as accurately as you have here. Such emotion in this piece, I can feel it throughout.
Truly,
-V.S. |

While I am more of a piercer I can't exactly relate with you, but a very good friend of mine is a cutter, and you have a breathtaking write here! An awesome poem indeed!! |
