Array ( [sid] => 40311 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => GOOD TO GO [time] => 2004-03-26 02:43:43 [hometext] => Stuck in traffic coming back from mexico, this started simmering. Actually got a cut on it. [bodytext] => I met her in an all-nite diner
Outside of New Orleans
She needed a ride, said she could drive
So I handed her the keys
She took the wheel of that Cadillac
And set it on ninety-five
I buckled my belt and thought to myself
"Bound to make some time"

(chorus)
She was good to go
Ready to roll,baby ,roll
She didn't care when or where
As long as it wasn't slow
Man, she took my breath away
The way she took control...,
Good to go, good to go

We flew out of Louisiana
Like a comet thru the night
Drove all day in the Lone Star State
Finally , she got tired
Rubbed her neck and gave me a look
And said, "Let's take a break"
There on the side was a 'Vacancy" sign
We checked into number eight

chorus

Well, I don't recall exactly when
We finally fell asleep
But the Cadillac fired and screaming tires
Brought me to my feet
I hit the door just in time to see
Tail-lights fading fast
A little voice said inside my head
"Fool, you've just been had"

chorus

Man she took my breath away
The way she took control
Good to go
She was good to go [comments] => 3 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 34 [informant] => badlander [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SongLyrics )
