I am doing battle with the Lie.
It is in defense of the Truth,
in an attempt to bring forward the proof.
That needs to be heard,
about great wrongs that have occured.
Where I am from.
Where the Law has become,
what the Law never should.
Something much less than,
right, fair, and good.
All because the apex of
local political power and wealth,
has superceded the peoples
saftey and health.
Laws duty abrogated.
Truth and honor has vacated
the halls of justice,
in Laws Temple.
It's that simple, and that sad.
Forsaken souless and bad.
A conscious choice,
to paint the voice of what is true.
With Lies brush,
to push Lie through.
A delusion, by definition,
Is truth that can't reach you.
It is an erroneous conclusion
so entrenched,
that reason and rational thought
cannot wrench,
your mind free,
from what's illusory.
Because your sure
that you already know,
what you don't.
All because you won't,
learn what is so.
I know that Jesus wept,
as much for keeper
as for kept.
Like all sleepers
who have slept,
through truths attempts to waken.
From dreams,
to what is reality.
Not merely what's real ,
"seems" to be.
In you, in all, in me.
So we'll awaken when Truth calls.
Well, hopefully. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 61 [informant] => rhymeandreason [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

"Like all sleepers

I want to steal those lines! I loved that.

You just keep on truth because I believe in you.

Do you remember that saying that goes something like---Shoot for the moon at the very least you will fall amongst the stars? I forgot who wrote that but anyway, keep on putting the truth out there and believe in yourself. You may not reach the moon but wouldn't it be okay to fall amongst the stars? I think so..

I liked this poem alot.....
