Clouds of pain
Distort my view of life
Imprisoning me
Unwelcomed memories repeat
Memories I've tried to forget
I feel hopeless
I cry alone
Dreams I dare to dream
Never do come true
I welcome loneliness
Mistakes I’ve made
Haunt me in sleep
I try to see beyond the clouds
And reach for the sun
But I’m lost the dark
I need to keep the faith
And find the little girl
Who wasn't afraid to dream
And believed in happy endings
I wonder if she’s still inside me
