Array ( [sid] => 40121 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Donovan [time] => 2004-03-24 22:30:25 [hometext] => this is dedicated to Donovan M. MacDonald August 16, 1989 - March 20, 2004---- we love you [bodytext] => in a blue wooden casket
many tears were shed
by family
by friends
by teachers
by aquaintances
by people who didn't even know you
you were too young to die
the tender age of 14
too young to be in a little blue box
too young to be alone for the rest of time in a wooden time capsule
you looked fake
like i wish the person in the casket was
it wasn't you
they put so much makeup on
your lips were almost white
pictures of you were plastered everywhere
i wish i could rewind time
i feel so guilty
the last time we talked
we fought
and i said i hated you
i'm sorry
i don't
i never did
i never will
i will always mourn you though
and i will never forget
your wide smile
your squinty eyes
and your heart of gold
i miss you
i love you
Donovan

Your poem moved me so much. I am so sorry for your loss. I have a son named Donovan, too. I believe in the hereafter and that you will hold your son again. Bless you.
