An incessant buzz.
Barely noted.
Gone unnoticed.
An endless play.
An act.
Apparently convincing.
For you remain enthralled.
Why must you speak for hours on end
About meaningless trust
An ear lent by no one
You claim to know me
See the door to my soul
You know nothing
No door is open to you.
You are still decieved.
Unexistant pillar of trust
Is all that remains
Much to your surprise.
I owe you nothing.
I tell you nothing.
I give you nothing.
I ask for nothing.
But your silence.
How do you know
These carefully chosen words
Words plotted and devised
Have any basis in truth?
If I shout blasphemy,
No doubt would surface.
The source of heresay
Would see no regrets.
Both tempting and simple
Deciet remains
A game to play
One of strategy and persuasion.
Not thoroughly enjoyed by all.
A game of trust
And a lack of this.
A play for ones enjoyment.
These long sought answers evade you
As easily as death finds it's seeker.
Prying only further hides
These prizes valued most.
"Tell me the source of your angst!"
The question I often flee.
The truth will bring pain and destruction.
A lie provides sullen peace.
Why do you shy away
From the answers you persistantly seek?
Justification provides closure
Mandatory for your sake.
For you to ask what destroys me
Simple, in upon itself.
An unfortunate single option
As nothing is revealed.
The time for you to change is gone
The remnant is darkness everlasting
These things you claim I will gratefully endure
I'll endure silently no longer. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 6 [informant] => LiquidChaos [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )
