What if,
The sky above us turned to crimson,
Engulfing the Heavens?
What if,
The air turned to poison,
Filling our lungs?
What if,
Tonight is our finest our together,
That we are as good as we possibly could be?
What if,
When we say goodnight,
It was also good-bye?
What if,
When I lay my head down to sleep,
I would never awake?
What would be the last thing that crosses my mind?

I'll tell you.
The heavens would shine through,
No color could cover it up.
Clean air would surround us,
Giving us the air needed to breathe.
Every night we spend together,
Is our finest moment,
Each day better than the previous.
I treat every goodnight,
As if it were good-bye,
Making sure to not hold anything in.
If I were to lay down to sleep,
For the last time,
The last thing that would cross my mind,
Just before I closed my eyes to Die,
Would be the same as the first thing that crossed my mind that same morning.
You,
You are the first, last and everything between.
You never seem to leave my thoughts,
You are my light,
In a completely dark room.
You are my eyes when I cannot see what the future has in store for me.
You are my shelter,
From the harsh world outside.
You are my everything.
And I love you for that.

I read many poems from this site.
The poem you wrote is everything i feel. The "you" my boyfriend...i never stop thinking about him, and he's always on my mind.
There are many thing i too think about, and hope i get to say and do them before i have to say "good-bye"
