just so that my heart can get fed,
the picture show of you and me
plays reliably at 2&3,
not one minute late or two seconds early,
I know my mind and I are exhausted
from this cinematic viewing of our destruction,
the movie is over and won't play again.
You hacked your way into my heart
via my rib cage using your facid smile,
once you were assured of being properly
lodged in to my left chamber
you booked a flight out of the country,
upon returning to me with much excitement
you informed me that I wouldn't last,
American girls don't measure up
to your mama's demands,
I am American as they get,
Glittery gold,
you tried to pacify me too often,
I don't want the ******* jewelry,
lieing hypocrite,
I don't want you
or the bubbled up
double standards you float on,
I have put an end to my own misery
by not loving you any more,
I have ended the movie. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 191 [topic] => 52 [informant] => sheri [notes] => (Edited for language) [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )
