Array ( [sid] => 39412 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => War on War [time] => 2004-03-19 23:48:13 [hometext] => Everyday war seems to be an issue on everyone's mind. I, for one, support the recent actions taken by our country, but I stand back to realize a few things. We struggle to keep peace, and by doing so, we only fight more than we had from the start... [bodytext] => We fight a war on war,
Bloodshed to keep the peace,
But to where and how far, we fight
Before the pain is at ease?

For peace simply is a war alone,
A struggle to make ends meet,
And shaking hands doesnt hide the known,
That the end will be defeat.

For the world can't live,
Without a way to die,
And hatred leads to sudden death,
To which this fear can prod and pry.

We express such hate for hatred,
Which seems to fuel our rage,
And now our deeds are plotted,
Death will come to those we hate.

With a simple act of crime,
We learn to kill and kill,
Each deed done time by time,
Until the hatred turns us ill.

This war on war,
Does not bring peace,
For no two wrongs will make a right,
And this is to say the least.

A fight for freedom,
Leaves us so confined,
And with each death,
We seem to cross the line.

And today's life is so corrupt,
For the world is so reversed
We'll find the end abrupt,
When we find we fight for the worst.

Tell the men who hear no sound,
Tell the the broken families,
Tell the bodies underground,
That your fighting for the peace.

But love and hope won't ryhme,
Never, till the end of time,
So tell me what's it worth,
This Peace on earth... [comments] => 1 [counter] => 192 [topic] => 39 [informant] => morelikelyrics [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
