But I know exactly what she thinks.
Although we never share the night,
We talk for hours, we never fight.
She knows my joy, my love, my pain,
I know her fears, her hopes, my flame.
I’m in love with Charlotte.com and she’s in love with me.

We “click” in more ways than one,
My internet love, my heart has gone!
We text and talk upon the phone,
Chat all night when we get home.
My friends would never understand,
Although I’ve never held her hand.
I’m in love with Charlotte.com and she’s in love with me.

This is real as any workplace affair
Its just as whole, my soul’s laid bare
I have her picure on my table
I look into her eyes and then I’m able
To put the world and all its pain
In a pigonhole marked “outside” again
I’m in love with Charlotte.com and she’s in love with me.

Her pretty eyes and hair of black,
I imagine her soft and naked back.
And how one day we will hug tight,
But until then day I’ll turn off the light.
And imagine just how good it will be,
We never argue can’t you see?
I’m in love with Charlotte.com and she’s in love with me.

We could meet but what’s to gain?
We may be hurt, there may be pain.
I don’t think I could take that yet,
So let’s just cyber-date on the internet.
So many people just like us,
It’s the 21st century reality crush.
I’m in love with Charlotte.com and she’s in love with me.

I find internet romances so fascinating. I guess because it is new and because I have never experienced it. I thank you for giving me an insiders view. Enjoyed reading your poem. Kie
