Array ( [sid] => 3922 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => ¨..My Gramparents..¨ [time] => 2002-09-17 06:14:42 [hometext] => This is my tribute to my wonderful Gramparents, they taught me alot about True Love, Life, Happiness, and Pain....
[bodytext] => Little baby, blonde hair, blue eyes
Her grampa was wonderful, he never told lies
She sat on his tummy, and pinched his cheeks
Brought him his slippers for his feet
Leaned down and kissed him, but there was no sound
That mornin in that house, he was Heaven bound
Her grampa had passed, as she look up to the skies
Not understanding, where the Angel's would fly
Gramma fell to the floor, on her knees she did weep
Twas his love she made a vow, she'd forever keep
Shaking and trembling, not knowing what to do
She looked at her gramma and said, I Love You
It went so fast..no angels in site
She was only 3 in that house that night
She knew her gramma would never be the same
Twas the love of her soul mate, she'd breathe his name
Years went by another soul flew
His love stayed in her heart, she knew
His name she spoke the next 26 years
Still with much pain, and many tears
By lantern at tha table she wept
Singin his song, Rosewood Casket
All the family gathered round
We were so quiet, we didn't make a sound
Little baby, all grown up now
To her gramma she made a vow
This vow she made in privacy
Her gramma was the only one who knew, you see
Little girl sittin by lantern one night
Whispered softly, your love i'll keep tight
Songs i will sing for both of you
Keeping your love alive, always staying true
Gramma kept him alive till her death
Even whispered his name, in her last breath
On the day of her funeral I said to them both
I won't hover here, I'll leave, I'll go
Buried next to him she lays
Eternally together, there love in my heart stays
That's why i sing, i told her this
To keep their love alive, her love and his
Singing i learned from my Gramma way back
Keeps your heart from dying, from turning black
Their grave i can never return no more
I'd break my vow, then i'd be torn
