Array ( [sid] => 3921 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => When We Grow Old [time] => 2002-09-17 06:12:50 [hometext] => This write is basically just about growing old with the one we love [bodytext] => Together in the sun we sit
and into eachothers eyes we gaze
nothing in this world worries us at all
knowing we have eachother..
for the rest of our days

When wrinkles form apon our faces
and all over our hands
we will cherish memories of this place
and together we shall firmly stand

We will still take walks in the park
I will always protect you from harm
and we will still lay in the dark
with you tightly held in my arms

I will still be here in times of sadness
times of happiness too
I will find your words when you cant speak
I will be with you...
in everything that you do

If I could love you anymore
my heart would be sure to overflow
who am I living this life for?
the answer to that we both know

When I take my last breath
a stronger love will surely glow
I will cherish you up until my death
and even beyond then...
my love will grow

What im trying to say
is that when time goes by and we get old
and the story of life begins to unfold
we will look back on days like today
and remember of the promise's we told

The promise to grow old...
Together Forever. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 282 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Demon [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Wow! First poem I've read by you and I'm amazed! It's really strange 'cause I have a fear of growing old, even though if it's with someone, but this poem now puts me at ease when I think of the years flowing by. Great write!
