[title] => The Ballad of Debbie and Jon
[time] => 2004-03-18 13:34:21
[hometext] =>
[bodytext] => Debbie died a few years ago, When she told Jon she’d go with the flow. And marry him because it just seemed right They didn’t argue, they didn’t fight. He wasn’t abusive, he had a “good” job, He wasn’t the life and soul of the town. But he never cheated or put her down. But he slowly drained her soul and her heart, Like he’d taken them out and ripped them apart. She slowly fell into a routine life, No longer “Debbie” but now “Jon’s wife”. She no longer listened to her favourite songs, She blended in with the other dumb blondes. Jon got promoted, she had to entertain, Showing legs for his boss, numbing her brain. She didn’t complain for she’s forgotten how, “Mickey mouse had grown up a cow”. Then Friends Reunited resurfaced a spark, Briefly there was a new light in the dark. But Debbie was now too far gone to go back, Her life was conditioned, continued on track. So when the car hit her her life in slow-mo, She had died inside a long time ago. Jon had mourned but Debs was dead, Five years before the car had emptied her head.
