Array ( [sid] => 39104 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => MoM [time] => 2004-03-17 23:28:50 [hometext] => I wrote this for my mother. She made me the man I am today, and just wanted to thank her. Hope you all like it. MaJ [bodytext] => -------________---------

If I was in a cell
for the rest of my life
I know I would hear
your prayers for me every night

The best love
A man can ever taste
Is forever written in my heart
And can never be erased

You taught me how to walk
through life with my head held high
How to live with christ
And not be afraid to die

You where my lawyer, my teacher
my doctor, and my friend
my mother, my father
You'll be with me till the end

I just want you to know
I will love you forever
Dead or alive
We will allways be together

I remember when you told me
Certain friends weren't real
I didn't listen I swore I knew the deal
When what you said came true
Who did I run to for advice? You.

You taught me how to navigate through life
You made the sacrafice
You kept on living, When you and dad divorced
It took all your might, But you didn't quit on life

You use to tell me it would be alright
When I remember you crying at night
Even though you are not here
I thank you for raising me, when no one else was there

You are the reason I am the man I am today
You gave me inspiration in every way
You told me life would be hard
Taught me to always give thanks to the lord;?

Trouble or no trouble
You always had my back
I just wanted to let you know
Your son appreciates that. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 775 [topic] => 55 [informant] => MajesticPoet [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )
