*****************************
green diamond of of my heart
shine inner light for me
with anticipation
I run my fingers
across the rough lawn
to lie down
to sleep
forever in this place
how sweet the peace
this land is mine
through blood
I will claim it
return to it
as my own ancestor
dear mother
your smile
welcomes me
home to my heart

Lovely. I can't wait to go myself. My grandmother was from County Curry. My mother, daughter, and I are planning a trip around 2011.

Erin go brae!
I cannot truly understand my adoration of Ireland. But it is here, coloring every taste, whether it be music, language, poetry or scenery. It really does run in the blood.
Happy Saint Patrick's day, a little late anyway!
Sláinte.
