[title] => A Song for the Funny, Shy Guy
[time] => 2004-03-16 17:13:36
[hometext] => I wrote this when I was talking to my funny, shy friend that cracks everyone up but has never had a girlfriend....I hope he likes it!
[bodytext] => So now that you’ve leaped, How far do you want to fly? Do you stop here in despair Or continue on and try? So young you are Yet you surpass me by a day But maybe youthfulness Can’t be measured in that way. Calendars, days, weeks Minutes, hours—TIME Fifteen years and nothing’s changed you But is that how you feel inside? So awkward, gangly, nerdy But so easy to crack a smile Your real loyalty and realness Are far greater than any child’s So determined to succeed But still set on having fun Like eating a million Twinkies So you can lose weight and run Hide your feelings in jokes Laughter’s invisible walls Make it easy to set aside, But make it harder when you fall Grow older, wiser And then you’re bound to see That at the age of fifteen, You were silly to like a girl like me.
