The lover's kiss

Contributed by poemwritingdude on Tuesday, 16th March 2004 @ 12:18:09 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

The kisser’s love,
The lover’s kiss,
Is the feeling I will always miss

The thought of you sends pain
shooting directly up my spine,
yet it also sends a soothing echo
sounding in my mind

and the echo tells of beauty
and of great things beyond thought,
and the greatest things about you
no one else has every sought

but the love that lasts between us
is not of happiness and grace,
one ignores the other
while the other hopes and waits,

and these hopes consist of love,
that the both will share together,
and the wait is locked inside the pain
that will surely last forever,
and the pain that has been suffered,
and all that it took away,
can be put behind us tonight,
and we can start off fresh today,
but that hope has all been lost,
in the others that you love,
and it is now gone forever,
lost and forgotten…
