Johnathan

Hello my name is Johnathan T. Storm, I was born physically deformed,
Just me my brother, mom and dad,
I never knew why people would stare at me and feel sad,
I keep good grades, I have a GPA of 3.8,
I play alot of chest, I'm the city champ ain't that great,

One day at school, a kid pushed me down and called me a baboon,
My brother was there but he just laughed, then the kid took my book bag,
My homework was gone, and my next class was math and Mr. Long,
He always said if you didn't have your homework, you'd have to stay after school,
But I got a chest tournament today, I tried to explain, he said you know the rules,

Lunch time came and once again the kids gather round, calling me names,
Retard, retard, retard, echoed in my head,
There was my brother laughing with his friends,
After lunch was over I pulled him aside , and asked him why,
He saw the tears in my eyes, he said stop that men don't cry,

He said he didn't mean it, he was just trying to fit in,
I looked him dead in his eyes, I told him that was mean, you don't do that to your kin,
When I got home my brother was in his room, doing homework I presume,
I threw a book at him and said I hate your friends,
He pushed me, and I got scared, I ran to our parent's bedroom and hid under a chair,

He flipped over the matress in a fit of rage, revealing daddy's gun, custom made,
I grabbed it, I only tried to scare him but it went off, I watched my brother buckle and cough,
My hands were shaking, my ears were ringing, my brother lie on the floor bleeding,
I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it, now I have life behind bars to think about it,
I'm so sorry for what I did, your son......Johnathan.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

This brought tears to my eyes. Another tragedy that shouldn't have happened. I never could stand for anyone to be picked on, I always wanted to protect them. Your poem touched me deeply and I thank you for sharing it with us. Kie
