that's what I am
I don't know how it happened
I sometimes wonder
am I in a dream?
Just seven years ago, I was totaly free
now my time does not belong to me.
I am devoted to my children
I want to prove I am a good mother
but it seems so difficult
is it me who's wrong
or is it the generation?
I look around me
I see my friends are suffering too
they have the same problems.
Whatever we do
whatever we say
whatever we buy,
they are not pleased
they don't feel us
they are totally different
than we used to be.
I wasn't an easy child myself
so says my parents of course,
but when I look at mine
I feel I was an angel.
What is it with nowadays children?

well, wots wrong wit us, da nowadays children?
-timez av changed & dats where da children live
-da parents r still talkin' bout da past & how it was & should remain!

If da parnets can embrace da time now dey would understand children more

Also instead of material possesions parents should jus talk 2 their children &get 2 Know dem.

Good poem anywayz, i understand

I do not think that there is a mother that has not found her children to be other than what she expected. Normally it is not the children its the parents that are at fault. Each generation has to face different problems nothing remains the same. Just do your best most children will appreciate this and to you personally remember that YOU are the mother it is you that sets the example give your children a certain set of rules that they can understand then they will follow them. Good poem well written, Have a great life now from bernard.
