If He had not sent His one and only son into this hurting old world To die upon the cross for you and me... sinners lost? Oh, where would we be? Where would we be? Every now and then... forever again... I sit and ponder these things of life within my heart... How we are given a path on which to trod One that was set forth as intended by God To let us glimpse His light within our lives... deep within our eyes And what He has in store for us... Oh, where would we be? Where would we be? Every now and then... forever again... I sit and ponder these things of life within my heart... Why we say and do... the things we say and do? Then sit and fret about the consequences of them Oh, what good does it do? What good does it do? None whatsoever! ... is the answer... Oh, where would we be? Where would we be? Every now and then... forever again... I sit and ponder these things of life within my heart... I know His love is free to all who seek But I always wondered... what it would be? What it would be...? If He had not given those three little words...? So very touching... to the heart... Those three little words that are so very often... left unspoken But are waiting to be whispered from the tips of our tongues... But just as often... are somehow forgotten... Or maybe we have not the courage to let them be spoken... Oh, where would we be? Where would we be? Without those three little words... that speak volumes... when spoken from our hearts Just as God intended for them to impart... To light a spark with in the heart... Every now and then... foreveragain... I sit and ponder these three words... That I speak from within my heart to yours... ... I LOVE YOU...
