wishful wistful irony
within the isolation
of fantasy
lost in dreams
crawling in and out
across uneven ground
not knowing the way
no sense of direction
derilect undertakers
wait in line
to give me a ride
smiling crooked teeth
jackals in black jackets
bow down to me
as I walk by
swaying in the breeze
bones dressed in satin
high heels click on pavement
high rent district
repealing the acts of mercy
I was told to move along
take my little dog too
down by the railroad tracks
the old man sat
like a king on his ragged throne
drinking 'night train'
and talking to the multitudes

Don't be ashamed. Ask for directions quickly. Get someone to point you in the right direction and keep walking till you get there. You can make it if you try hard enough. It is worth the effort.

Reminds me of a dream I had and wrote about. Love the "little dog, too" line.

I'd like to climb inside your mind and watch in awe as these ideas hatch.

You amaze me each and every time
