[bodytext] => Rich inside of me is the spirit of nature, for late on a rainy May afternoon I delight in special moments shared with old friends. Tom remembers an endless stormy springtime and an orchard that swayed with tuneful chuckling, Marie recalls harvesting thirsty corn and blessing her hallowed medicine wheel, John's favourite memories are of dolphins dancing for him each morning at sunrise, while Sandra remembers healers and teachers and claims we are born able to serenade the birds. I witnessed new-born mountain lions in the spring snow and nomadic elephants crossing the midnight desert. I remember solitary buzzards flying the grand prairies and windswept silver pelicans sailing over mudflats. Slate-grey reef sharks hovering like phantoms above me, women chanting from a centuries-old tradition, and the gypsy girl who let me share her tent. These were the only sane moments of my life.
