Pure reminders of contentment
Remorse for pain,
For new loneliness
And everything that’s gone
One moment it flashes quickly
Til I push it safe away
There’s no way it can be true,
It’s done
Right?
The flood of memories I shun
I don’t know what to do
For fear that my heart will betray
Frustration gathers thickly
Mounting on and on
I cry for sake of all of this

I wish for summer rain
I feel much like resentment
Of all this I’ve brought on
It can't be true, I know it
It's not supposed to be.
I'm supposed to be long gone
Supposed to...
But I'm not. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 196 [topic] => 24 [informant] => liquidsunshine [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )

In my nostalgic moments summer rain reminds me of when i was a child, warm water running down my face....
But onto the more serious aspect of your poem a very good emotional write.

Take what you have learned from the past and make the future brighter. It can be done, I know, for I have done it.
