[hometext] => This poem is for Jenia.
[bodytext] => Might as well say it has been ten years since we sat in the corner and quietly played And, as children we understood with a simple language As simple as a skeleton and we knew when to be happy or not And ten years later after you were gone you said hello so of course I said hello back And how are you you said and I said that I was great in simple English because English is your second language And you said you were wonderful but are you? Because I am not great hardly even good Miserable, pathetic, self-loathing And what are you? Perhaps you are a super model but you are modest Or maybe you were orphaned the year after you left and you do not wish for sympathy I understand. Because how can you explain to me how your parents think you're a whore and how your little brother is absolutely perfect and you are loving your new ceramics class When you do not speak my language? Ten years has lead us to forget our language that we spoke as hardly vocal children knowing when to be happy or not And in a letter I cannot tell you my emotion so that you feel it I cannot send you the essence of my tears If I did would you read the label? Could you understand in the Roman alphabet even how much I hate my English teacher and how much I love my friends? Would I even know how vast your love can be Vaster than mine? In the great Russia? Ten years has taken away a skeleton-simple understanding between friends and given us pure, horrible etiquette.
