Passing ripe age two and seventy,
That all you do is sit around
And see your tootsies reach the ground.

There's nothing much for you to think,
While organs sure go on the blink,
When all you do is wait to eat,
And rarely leave your velvet seat.

If you think that, you're head is fat,
You're nipping straight from oaken vat,
You're on the stuff, I've say enough
We seniors work, right off the cuff.

If not for us, who'd drive the bus,
Who'd fight for rights and make a fuss,
Who volunteers to help the pros,
Teachers, nurses, patients' woes.

I've had my say, I'm done today,
Don't be like Abner, Daisy Mae,
The meek shall inherit all the earth,
The seniors give the earth it's worth. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 356 [topic] => 7 [informant] => norm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

Just got my card
for Home Town Buffet
I Get a Senior discount
and like it that way.

Don't care for the wrinkles
or what gravity's done
But take it or leave it;
I'm still havin' fun! :*)
great as always Norm~

This is a really funny one Norm.......but lots of truth to form.
What are Seniors good for anyway?
Ask any one of us and this is what we"d say.
Beat folks west of anywhere, we are the ones
that have the most fun.
So we are alittle bit slower, and most grey,
But tougher than cobs and not easily fray
We worked hard Norm......and now we can
have our say.
Without any pay!
