This atrocity in me.
I wish I had the eloquence
to instill understanding of me.
For all of you watching, listening,
Point Number One:
It's arduous for me to be happy,
when any of these days are done.
Point Number Two:
You can't feel the coldness of my heart,
nor hear the voices in my mind.
And soon you'll see just how it tears me apart.
Point Number Three, dear soul,
is that this never goes away.
I'm imprisoned for life in this shell
and it seems we all shall pay.
Point Number Four:
my insanity is a dagger to your health;
and before you get close realize:
pain is all I posess in wealth.
So batten the hatches
for I'm coming your way.
Lock doors, retreat to the cellar
for that's where you should stay.
Point Number Five
you find hard to understand;
I'm hopelessly stretching
for your retreating hand.
Point Number Six, so primeval,
I long for human voice.
It comforts, as I long too for human touch.
As you run I know it's your choice.
Point Number Seven already,
these are all attempts for you to help me.
But Point Number Eight is
you can't help but give up on me.
Point Number Nine,
the result of the other eight.
It's simply, "I quit."
I guess it must have been fate. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 151 [topic] => 13 [informant] => waos [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

I agree with the first comment. This is one of my favourite of yours definitely you really showed us the emotion and pain you are feeling which is at times really hard to do clearly. Great poem.
