"IF ONLY"
If only I could hold every
living creation in my hand
If only I could, I would
one year fifty-five thousand
aborted babies dead
children beaten raped
tortured scarred memories
I'd reverse
beautiful babies living
happy without pain
loved deeply instead.
If only I could, I would

If only I could hold every
old person in my hands
Alzheimers senility infirm
dizzy arthritic handicapped
suffer no more disease
strong limbs under foot
solid stag deer stand
If only I could, I would

If only I could hold all
hate animosity anger
prejudice emnity killing
strife young mans war
in my hands
crushed
replace with love
goodness, kindness, mildness
young mans peace galore
If only I could, I would

If only I could hold this
tired tattered old world
in my hands
comfort compassion
caring empathy gone
fresh cool water flow
brand new world caring
tenderness merciful
affectionate hearts
renewed love song
If only I could, I would

If only I could hold
death sorrow pain
in my hands
annihilate reign
hopeful tomorrow
beauteous future
no more outcry nor
blood shed e'r aga'n
If only I could, I would

If only I could
hold a loving world
tightly in my hands
tearless, neigh woes
peaceful tree grow
leaves drop joy
smiles warm hearts
security grins
everyone wins
If only I could, I would

If only I could hold
all blind, all deaf
mans injury to man
in my hands stop
I would if I could
I cannot
He will soon
Our Loving Creator
His Hands
Blessings bestrewn

Yes indeed if only we could. Strong words, but lets face it none of us are Saints and we can't alter much in this life. Perhaps in the next. Keep smiling from bernard.
