Your strength turns in on you and you can't breath,
A whole being, crushing itself into suffocation.
Your strength becomes your prison,
Feeding off your own flesh.
The left hand reaching out for the lessons,
The right grasps the suffering more tightly,
Both hands are needed to climb the mountains ahead.
When you realise this and let go,
You turn around to face the future
You learn the prison cell door was never locked.

As the future becomes the present,
And lessons learned are forgotten,
You retreat back to the safety,
In the darkness of the prison cell.
You want to lock the cage but you can't,
Inner battles rage higher,
And then you begin to suffer once more,
So you walk back into your life,
Beyond the prison cell door.
Strength pointing outwards,
Hands empty and free to create.
Heart as clear as crystal.
Let go of love and hate.
Mind as clear as air,
Truth discovered.
Your wise enough to know
That you know nothing.
