The sweetest, nicest, cutest guy there could ever be
I loved him with everything I had hiding in my heart
He brought out the best in me so that we may never part
I didn’t know how long my fairy tale would last
Or how soon I would have to forget about the past
He didn’t realize what he was losing when he said we were through
A perfect couple split apart by one simple clue
I’m writing a miniature novel to let you know I still care
That I will always love you and I’ll always be there
Never think that for one minute you don’t have a friend
Because I care about you so much that I’ll be there till the end
Who cares if you broke my heart when you said you wanted out
That’s no reason for me to sit in a corner and pout
After love came heartache and now I’m okay
I got through the toughest times and “thank you” is what I have to say
You showed me that at the end of heartache is a stronger heart
So that when it gets really bad, my life won’t fall apart
I can fix the cracks before they get too bad and break
For then I would have the strength to make corrections that I need to make
Thank-you for the love that we once shared
And this little novel is to let you know I still care
