As my life leaves my body
Tried to be everything
To everyone way too long
Well here I am only me
Take me as I've always been
Or walk away and leave me be
Too many long nights wasted
What if thoughts running in my head
No ones left to hold me tight
Nothing here I don't feel safe
Looked for love to save me
But it stole my life from me
The phone lays silent so long
Stopped holding my breath long ago
You left with promises to return
Guess it's just another thing broken
Maybe I was always just a joke
Once I swore I would die for you
I just never meant like this
Watched it all fall apart
Tried to save it so many times
Have to leave this place
Can't stand it's face
Going away to hide myself
Got to try and save myself

I know the feeling.
Great write, sad but has a touch of self awakening i think.
If that makes any sense.

This is an incredibly sad poem Cobalt. Filled with raw honesty, introspection and true reality. A broken heart takes time to heal and it is painful while it is healing. I hope you find love and happiness because you deserve it. Kie
