[title] => Art Thine Words
[time] => 2004-03-08 02:34:22
[hometext] =>
[bodytext] => I doubt thy words, Which art sent and reported By another. Werest thou sincere In thy words? Or didst thee simply Concoct an excuse and lie? Or tell me, Was it thine messenger, Whom would not report to me Until our midday meal? Was she honest In her words, thy words, Or was it she That deceived me? Or hast neither thee Or thine messenger, But I? Didst I hear from Thy courier only what I chose to hear? No, then did I Hear the true words From her mouth? I can only aspire To know the words to say To appeal To thy heart, And then, shouldst I find them, The courage To give them to thine ears. Many a night I have spent awake Thinking of thy beauty, Pondering the contents of my heart, The battle inside of its walls, My feelings for thee Art driving against my fears Of speaking to thee And of an imminent rejection. And now I leave My inquiries unanswered On this paper In hopes for thee to someday Read and answer. I cannot yet say what I feel So deep inside mine heart Is love for thee, But something, maybe even more.
