Array ( [sid] => 37720 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Break Up to Make Up [time] => 2004-03-07 18:12:02 [hometext] => *Every couple has their off days, some worse than others. Things get said that aren't meant, and however unintentionally, it hurts. But if the love is true, things usually work out in the end...* [bodytext] => I tell you you're wrong, but you think that you're right
We argue back and forth, and end up in a fight
Why do things always have to end up this way
We try to work it out, but things stay the same

So you get mad, storm out, and leave me here crying
I think I lost you, now my heart's slowly dying
Why does this always have to be so damn hard
We used to be close, but now we're growing apart

Now you think you should leave, but I want you to stay
But even if you go, my love for you won't change
I thought we could work it out, but now I'm not sure
As I watch you walk away, my heart dies a little more

So I'll give you time to think about what's going on
Maybe you're right, I should admit I was wrong
Our signals got crossed, but who's to blame for that
Maybe you'll see the light, and find your way back

As time goes by, things still haven't changed
And I start to think that maybe I'm the one to blame
And maybe some time apart is what we both need
Maybe we both just need a little space to breathe

More time passes, and we're both growing depressed
And we're both wondering, if, and how, we can fix this mess
I want to talk to you, but I really don't know how
But if we're going to solve this, it needs to be now

Finally we both realize, just how stupid this is
And we know we shouldn't fight over some dumb sh*t
So we both make a promise, that it won't happen again
So everything's cool now, there's no need to pretend

Time goes by, and we start to grow closer than ever
And we both realize that destiny brought us back together
No more petty arguments, no more sleepless nights
We were both wrong, and that don't make it right

So now as the story starts to come to an end
You're more than a lover, you're like my best friend
And nothing or no one could ever tear us apart
Because you, and only you, hold the key to my heart [comments] => 1 [counter] => 1009 [topic] => 50 [informant] => thuggurlt [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 19 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ApologyPoetry )
