Feet dangling above the waters gleam
Looking out at that blood red lake
Wondering if this is all a bad dream
A nightmarish vision
A glimpse of hell
A twisted face staring me dead
That sick mind so unwell
The disguise of a friend
How cunning and sly
For your just blank stares and vile smiles
While a soul sits there ready to die
Appear a friend
While I edge a little farther off the deck
Appear an enemy
When your hands embrace my fragile neck
Strangle each breath
Strangle me of life
For a second I turned my back
And was greeted with a knife
I fall into that bottomless lake
Inhale the water while I try
To make it make to shore
While you just wave goodbye
I fall deep into the water
Far into the abyss
While you turn your back
On the friend you'd never miss
My corpse hugs the bottom
This the storys end
Blood spilled through the crimson lake
And bathed in by a friend [comments] => 2 [counter] => 161 [topic] => 32 [informant] => teenageemogirl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

U forgot to have the knife twist in.... I've felt that many a time... it's no fun... I can relate to this poem... I'm ashame to say... but the friend may have been me a few times...
Good Write... it's left me visible shaken... keep up the good work.
