Abandoned in a barren land
Without dignity heart in hand
Desperate to find a way
Fearing nevermore to hear her say

“Come dance in Angels light”
“ Come laugh with me tonight”
“Come search wonders of the heart”
“ Come let joy ne’er depart”

Hands trembling my soul does flutter
Giving voice to heart I hear it utter
“ Why did you tear me out ?”
“ What’s my offense” in agony I shout !

Without a glance she walks away
These few words I hear her say
“ Nothing has been done or said”
“ It’s just over love is dead”

So now I journey every day
With broken heart along the way
Wondering why life cannot be
Simply happy and heartache free !
